We have been using construction blocks to create some lovely structures following our small group time with the blocks, cups and CD’s. This time we used the smaller, coloured blocks and we still helped each other and shared the blocks well.

Reception had a lovely time last week getting stuck in with some gardening. We filled some old tyres with compost and planted potatoes, and we planted our very own wild flower garden too.

Reception had a fantastic time this morning using the parachute during their PE lesson with the sports coaches. They played sharks in the sea, practiced moving the parachute quickly and slowly, and played ‘the mushroom game’!

This morning the Nursery and Reception classes had a brilliant time playing with a parachute. They used it to make large and small waves, they put some balls on the parachute and had fun trying to bounce them off. They had a brilliant time!
As part of our World Book Day celebrations, Year 4 came to visit Reception. The children read with a partner, sharing their favourite stories. Reception had a lovely time!
On World Book Day, Reception dressed up as a character from their favourite books. Arabella the story teller came to visit us, and told us the story of The Gingerbread Man. We helped Arabella to act out the story, had a go at mixing the ingredients for the Gingerbread man, and did the Gingerbread Man Dance!

Year 4 had a wonderful morning reading with Recpetion class.
Reception will be holding a small Mother’s Day assembly in the Reception classroom on Friday 4th March at 2:45 PM. The children will read some poems, sing some songs, and tell us why their Mummy is important to them. Happy Mother’s Day!
