Computing – Working collaboratively…At a distance!

As the next part of our “Collaboration and Communication” unit, Year 6 worked on a fact file today.  That’s not so difficult, is it? Well, so they thought.  The challenge became harder when they discovered that they couldn’t speak to each other and they were not sitting on the same table!  What could they do?

Luckily, they all had Chromebooks are could use the “Chat” function to make suggestions and decisions by asking and answering questions.  After a difficult start, they all got used to it and produced some interesting results! Some even asked if they could work like this for all group projects! Well, we will see about that….
