Football Match vs St Marys

On Thursday 21st April, our Year 5 & 6 football team took part in a match against St Marys Primary School.

The game started very lively with both teams going close in the opening exchanges. Tiverton managed to get a grip on the game fairly quickly after that though, testing their keeper and piling on the pressure. However, it was St Marys who got the first goal. A shot that was well saved by Cairo Pope bounced back out to their forward who slotted home the rebound. Still, Tiverton piled the pressure on and only the half time whistle stopped the relentless attacking.

Second half continued very similar, with Tiverton going close with shots from Myles Bridges, Ewan Ratcliffe and late call up, Wisdom Chukwudi all scaring the St Marys defence. On a very large pitch the boys battled on and again, completely against the run of play, St Marys hit Tiverton for another goal right on the full time whistle.

Final Score:- Tiverton 0-2 St Marys
