Learning to Illustrate in the Style of Quentin Blake

Last week, Year 3 read the poem The Trouble with My Brother, by one of our favourite poets Brian Patten. What a trouble that brother was too!

This week, we are writing a short illustrated narrative inspired by this somewhat gruesome tale.  As we have been really enjoying the illustrations of Quentin Blake in our novel (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl) we decided to look more closely at his style, analyse its features and emulate it.  We can’t wait to use these characters in our illustrated narrative!
