📙📘📗📕World Book Day 2024 📙📘📗📕

This year, Year 6 had a busy world book day.  They had the important job of inspiring the younger children to love reading. Year 6 role models visited Reception and Year 1 to join in their reading parties.  Both sets of children really enjoyed it! Thanks for having us Mrs Hyde and Mrs Matthews!

 

Back in class, we combined our love of playing Top Trumps with our love of reading to created cards of our favourite characters.  We’ve laminated them so they can be added to our Wet Play Games cupboard.

A World Book Day tradition is creating your own bookmark for future reading.  There were some very individual ones.  

Finally, we did some paired reading in our Reading Buddies – it was great to see what our friends are reading right now!

A great day! Next WBD, we’ll be in Year7!
