You will never guess who visited our school today?… David Smith. He is a commonwealth champion from Glasgow. He can jump over 7 feet 😮 He is a professional high jumper! He is in our school today working with KS2 doing circuit training.

Entry Point: Year 5 are evacuated

 

The 2nd part to our entry point focused on teaching the children what it was like for children during evacuation. We set the classroom as a train station and experienced the whole process. We also thought about what we would pack in our small suitcase and why. Lots of great ideas from year 5 .

Baby ball room

 

Today we had the privilege of seeing some professional ballroom dancing from Miss Meah’s younger brother. They were incredible and have definitely inspired some of us to start dancing. Our chins were literally on the floor. They were amazing!!!

The Barber Institute of Fine Arts

 

Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed their visit to The Barber Institute of Fine Arts today. We enjoyed a tour around the museum, learnt more stories about different myths and legends and even created our own clay models.
