🧵 DT in Year 6: Making Waistcoats 🧵

This week, Year 6 started work on their latest DT project: waistcoats!

Working with their Kagan partners for support, Year 6 followed the process of evaluating existing products, developing design criteria then designing their waistcoats before laying out the pattern pieces onto their chosen fabric.  By the end of the session they were ready for construction – watch this space!

The next stage of our process involved practising our joining skills: temporarily with safety pins and then more firmly using running stitch.
