Whole School Homework – Black History Month

Dear All,

As a school we are setting homework for half term based around Black History Month. The focus for this in Year 1 has been the book ‘Coming To England’ by Floella Benjamin.

On your Tapestry accounts, I have attached a document that I have used with the children in class to aid them in learning about Floella Benjamin, her family and her experiences in Britain. Also, there is a letter from our History leader, Miss Chamberlain, to explain the homework further.
