An inspirational and thought-provoking visitor to Y5 and 6

This afternoon, Year 5 and 6 were extremely fortunate to welcome a special visitor to the school.

We were enthralled, as she told us about her life growing us a Palestinian refugee in Jordan and then within Palestine itself. She told us all about her early life in the camp, and how this grew into an incredible drive and ambition to achieve her dream of working as a nurse and giving something back to her community

Not only did she share her truly inspirational story with us, but she also really made us think about our own opportunities and how we can make a real difference in the world by thinking bigger and beyond ourselves.

We will definitely be thinking about what we learned from our visitor as continue our topic into next term.
