DT in Y6: Designing Playgrounds

After lots of Kagan work using structures such as Round Table Consensus and Round Robin, we explored what we thought a good playground should have, before refining this into a set of must-have design criteria.

Then we learned measuring, marking out and safe wood cutting skills using junior hacksaws and bench hooks to start the process. Then we refined our joining skills.

We produced some great designs which we hoped would meet this criteria! Challenging but worth it!
