Learning about life in ancient Greece using the Kagan structure ‘One Stray’

Today, rather than using the internet or text books to find out about ancient Greek life, each group became ‘experts’ on a different aspect of the topic.

After 10 minutes of making sure that all members of our team knew the key facts, it was time for each team member to stray off to teach another group what they had learnt.

The ‘teachers’ did so well, they could even answer extra questions from the team they were visiting.

By the end of the session, everyone had notes about all the different topics and EVERYONE had taken they part in achieving that.  We’re going to use this research to make a non-fiction report.
