Our Identity – patternmaking

In art, we have been focusing on the art of Native American artist, Sadie Red Wing.  She creates pattern designs based on symbols which reflect her life: past, present and future.

Each person, created a set of symbols to represent our own lives.  We then combined these into a design tile.

Using Google Slides, the individual tiles are going to be combined into a reflective, rotational design which we will transfer onto fabric using transfer print and iron-on transfers. Watch this space!
