Stan’s Cafe Project – Saving the Butterfly

This term, Year 6 have been lucky to have worked with Jack from Stan’s Cafe.  They are exploring the themes in the book, Saving the Butterfly: A story about refugees by Helen Cooper.

They explored the story, the themes of refugees, mental health and family relationships.  They are working towards a final performance which will be recorded.

This week’s step was to create butterfly puppets which will be used in the performance.  The class were tasked with creating a butterfly design which reflected them.
