Y6 Visit to the Birmingham Back to Backs

To help us understand the context of our current reading book, “The Little Match Girl Strikes Back”, today we visited a fantastic museum – The Birmingham Back to Backs.  We got the opportunity to wear some period costumes, set a fire and explore what life would be like for the working classes in Victorian Birmingham.  We also got to learn a new craft: making rag rugs! We want to add that to our box of wet play games!

We were complimented on our great listening and thoughtful questions!
