Ancient Egyptian Scrolls

In Year 3, we are designing and making our own Ancient Egyptian scrolls so we have been very busy making paper. We learned about how the Ancient Egyptians used papyrus and layered strips of brown paper in vertical and horizontal rows just like they did. We had to be careful that our strips overlapped so that our paper would be strong and flexible but without holes in.
