Design and technology: cross stitch and appliqué

We had a lovely lesson this morning, remembering skills from previous year groups and bringing knowledge from home to help us with two new techniques. First we learned how to make a cross stitch from two simple stitches, then we attached a second piece of fabric, using appliqué. We will be using these new skills and techniques in our project this term as we design and make Egyptian collars.
