In class the children chose a photograph of a Barbara Hepworth sculpture that they liked best. Next the children drew a sketch of their own Barbara Hepworth inspired sculpture onto paper. The children had a lot of discussion with Mrs Hyde about a suitable material to use for their sculptures. In the end, the children decided that clay would be best. Mrs Hyde gave a brief talk about the tools available to create effects on their sculptures. Mrs Francis has been working with each group, they have some very impressive results so far . . . there is still a group to go . . .
Can you spot any similarities?
UPDATE! Here is the work from our last group of children . . .
